Bose has unveiled its first wired earbuds in 11 years.
The Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds will be available from 15th October, with a USB-C connection, QuietControl noise cancellation, and no internal battery. They draw power directly from the connected device and come with a 128cm cable, inline remote, and microphone.
“Wired earbuds are experiencing a cultural renaissance, and when we decided to bring them back, we knew we had to make them even better than before,” Raza Haider, president of Bose Premium Consumer Audio, shared. “Technology has come a long way since our last wired earbuds, allowing us the opportunity to bring our latest advancements to the category and set a new standard for what wired earbuds can be.”
For audio playback, Bose has used its proprietary SoundDesign digital signal processing, which it says delivers “crisp, clear audio with support for lossless audio listening”. The earbuds can accept source input at any sample and bit rate, with playback output fixed at 24-bit/48kHz.
Unusually for wired headphones, they also feature QuietControl noise cancellation, available in three listening modes: ‘Quiet Mode’ (heavily reducing outside noise), ‘Aware Mode’ (allowing some surrounding sound in), and ‘ANC Off Mode’ (no external sounds are blocked).
Ear tips for the new wired earbuds come with soft silicone eartips in small, medium and large sizes, alongside medium and large stability wings, so wearers can customise the earbuds for a more comfortable fit. A protective carry case is also included.
The Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds will be available in black and white colours, plus a limited-edition Dewdrop Mint version.

Bose’s return to wired earbuds comes amid renewed interest in the format. US sales of wired headphones grew 3% in 2025 after five years of decline, according to Circana, with revenue up 20% in the first six weeks of 2026.
Rode recently launched the “DJ-friendly” NTH-50 headphones, which are designed for studio work and everyday listening.
